The Music in IT’S ALL IN THE GAME a 1958 number one hit by Tommy Edwards was written by Vice President Charles Dawes in 1912. Probably the most important thing he ever did. Was he talking about love or politics?
HUEY PIANO SMITH was a Beach Club regular at Myrtle Beach’s #1 concert venue, created by Cecil and Charlie Corbett. Huey gave us several rockin beach music classics. Rockin Pneumonia, Don’t You Just Know It, Twas The Night Before Christmas, Don’t you Know Yockomo, High Blood Pressure. For most of those years we thought it was Huey Piano Smith on lead but it was usually the eccentric cross-dressing Bobby Marchand on vocals and Huey on the piano. Guess that’s why they nicknamed him, Piano.
